Uneven airflow inside a greenhouse may lead to localized heat buildup, high humidity, and stagnant air around the crops.

In this project, industrial air circulation fans were installed in a beef tomato greenhouse to create directional airflow and improve air movement throughout the growing area. Depending on the greenhouse structure and environmental conditions, the fans may also be used together with natural ventilation, exhaust systems, or evaporative cooling pad systems as part of a more comprehensive ventilation and cooling solution.

1. Improving Airflow Around the Plants

Industrial air circulation fans help maintain continuous airflow throughout the greenhouse, reducing stagnant and overly humid areas around the plants and decreasing the likelihood of prolonged leaf wetness.

Proper air circulation may help reduce environmental conditions favorable to certain fungal diseases. However, effective disease management should still include temperature and humidity control, proper cultivation practices, and other necessary preventive measures.

2. Directing Warm Air Toward Ventilation Outlets

The primary function of an industrial air circulation fan is to provide directional airflow and improve internal air circulation. It can help guide warm air toward designated ventilation areas and reduce localized heat buildup.

To discharge hot air from the greenhouse or reduce the overall indoor temperature, the fans should be used in combination with appropriately designed air inlets, ventilation openings, exhaust fans, or evaporative cooling pad systems.

3. Promoting More Even Air and Carbon Dioxide Distribution

Proper air circulation helps distribute the existing air and carbon dioxide more evenly around the plants and reduces areas of stagnant air.

The fan itself does not increase carbon dioxide concentration. Actual photosynthesis and plant growth are still affected by factors such as light intensity, temperature, water availability, nutrient supply, and overall cultivation conditions.

4. Supporting Greenhouse Environmental Management

Moderate airflow helps maintain air movement around the plants and may serve as a supporting measure for pollination and crop growth management.

Air volume, airflow direction, installation position, and operating duration should be adjusted according to the crop growth stage, plant height, and greenhouse conditions. Prolonged exposure to excessively strong airflow should be avoided.

Project Equipment Configuration

  • Application site: Beef tomato greenhouse
  • Equipment: EasyFong industrial air circulation fans
  • Model and quantity: To be completed according to the actual installation
  • Installation height and airflow direction: To be completed according to the on-site configuration
  • Supporting systems: Natural ventilation, exhaust fans, evaporative cooling pads, or other systems, as applicable
  • Observed improvements: It is recommended to include customer feedback or before-and-after environmental records

Actual performance may vary depending on greenhouse size, structure, crop density, equipment quantity, installation position, outdoor climate, and the configuration of other ventilation systems. A comprehensive on-site assessment is recommended before equipment planning and installation.
